Towering Oaks Baptist Church maintains our online presence using the a second-level domain name of toweringoaks.org. We are a Southern Baptist church located in Greeneville TN.

When visitors leave comments or messages on the site we collect the data shown in the form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you send a message to our staff, the person who was intended to see the message will see it. Messages of a private nature should be stated as so that the recipient may take steps to keep it private. Do keep in mind that sometimes general aspects of messages may be used as talking points during teaching times. Support staff sometimes sees messages as a part of normal technology upkeep. Should you require more privacy, please schedule a private meeting.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment or send a message, the content and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can follow-up and reflect upon your input.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
At times, some data is erased or archived. You should keep your own copy of anything you send us. If you find you have current data stored on our site and you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. If you sent a message, that message may be deleted by the recipient in the future – we cannot recover that data, so you should keep your own copy of that data. Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Messages are sent via email to the recipient of the email, or a person filling a roll on staff.
